My Zoo

Today I am going to write about my zoo. To begin with we have eight pets and two fish tanks. The first and oldest is our black lab greyhound mix “Lucky”. She is twelve and a half years old. We got her when she was six weeks old. She was on a farm and was dirty and covered in fleas and ticks. We wrapped her in a blanket and she slept the whole ride home. Once we had her home we bathed her in dawn soap and cleaned her all up. She was so hyper that when she sat she would shake from being still. She was always a great dog. Never chewed anything up or was aggressive. Our next pet was several fish. We have six cichlids in one fish tank and eight semi-aggressive fish. The next pet we got was our Jack Russell Terrier “Zoe”. I got her for Christmas one year. She was so tiny when we got her. Next would be our kitty “Jasmine” we got after moving to our new house. One on my friend’s cat had a litter and my youngest always wanted a kitty so this was the perfect time to get him one. Jasmine wasn’t fond of dogs when we got her. She was terrified of Zoe. Zoe would bark and chase her through the house which didn’t make it any better.  Very soon after we got another kitty so Jasmine could have a friend because we aren’t home during the day. He was a little white puff ball. We named our new kitty Patches. For Christmas a few years ago my boys’ grandma bought them each a guinea pigs. So each boy has their own pet to take care of. Now it comes to our newest member to our family “Harley”. He is our white German Shepherd puppy. He is a very large German shepherd. He is barley ten months old and he is already one hundred pounds.
