Lost tooth
One cold and dreary day we got all packed up and headed to
the Ozark Community Center. While we were getting ready it began to rain outside.
At first it rained just a sprinkle, just as we were in the car and driving to
the Ozark Community Center it began to rain hard. As we pulled into a spot,
loud thunder was heard from far away. We know we had to run fast through the massive
down pour. Jumped out and ran as fast as our legs could carry us. Almost to the
door and lightening struck near us and we screamed. Not far after the thunder came
when we reached the door. We all got changed into our swimsuits and began to
swim. My husband, three sons and myself
got out our water basketball and began to play around. My middle son Nathan was
trying to sit on the ball in the water when it slipped and popped up hitting my
youngest Matthew in the mouth. The ball didn’t hurt Matthew but he had a loose
tooth. The ball knocked Matthew’s tooth right out in the water. As soon as he
started talking I could see his front tooth missing. It was gone in the water.
We all stared looking in the water. Everyone had an area that they were
searching. My husband was searching the
bottom of the pool. We had been looking for twenty minutes. We were about to
give up when my husband popped out of the water with the tooth in his hand. The
tooth was on the bottom of the pool. We were all happy that he found Matthew’s
tooth. After all that swimming everyone was hungry so we went and got nachos.
With tummies full we all were ready to leave. Wow what a silly adventure this
day became.
